Actichem Preseal is formulated to dramatically inhibit moisture ingress into construction and fine stone, masonry and cement products during the installation process. Incorporating the latest sealing technology, Preseal protects against installation defects while ensuring adhesive bond strength is never compromised — helping prevent tile warp and other common installation issues.

HOW TO USE

Read and understand the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Always pre-test in an inconspicuous location for substrate sensitivity prior to full application.

Preparation:

• Material surface must be totally clean, dry and chemical free
• Do not apply in direct sunlight; apply at temperatures between 10°C and 28°C
• Coverage is 5 to 20m² per litre per coat

DILUTION

Ready to use. No dilution necessary.

APPLICATION

1. Apply 1 coat of Preseal by generously saturating the stone surface using a polish applicator, roller or sprayer. Ensure even coverage.
2. Dip-sealing is also an approved method for six-sided sealing.
3. The surface must remain shiny wet with a liquid film for at least 30 seconds. Apply additional sealer to very porous substrates as needed.
4. Allow 5–10 minutes for the sealer to absorb into the surface, then remove excess with a clean dry towel.
5. Using absorbent towelling or an applicator, wipe off any sealer remaining on the surface after 10 minutes of the last application. Moisten the towel with Methylated Spirits to remove any dried residues.
6. Allow 24 hours before fabrication or installation. Keep dry for 12 hours. Full cure achieved in 24–48 hours.
