APPLICATION AREAS AND SURFACE SUITABILITY
Solv Sealer Gold is suitable for a wide range of porous natural stone and masonry surfaces including:
- Granite, Marble, Limestone, Travertine
- Bluestone, Basalt, Sandstone, Slate
- Terrazzo, Terracotta, Saltillo Tiles, Quarry Tiles
- Concrete, Masonry, Brick, Cement-based grout
- Porous engineered stone
Suitable for polished, honed, flamed, exfoliated and saw-cut finishes.
Expected Wear: Provides protection for up to 15 years under normal conditions. Reseal every 5–7 years in high-traffic or harsh environments. Clean regularly using Actichem Proneutro or a pH-neutral stone cleaner — avoid harsh acids, strong alkalis and solvent cleaners to maximise sealer performance.
Considerations:
- Not suitable as a waterproof membrane or sub-surface waterproofing system
- Do not apply when rain is expected within 2 hours of application
- If the surface has recently been exposed to rain, allow at least 24 hours of drying before application
Coverage Guide:
| Surface Type | Coverage per Litre |
|---|---|
| Highly porous surfaces | 5–10 m² per coat |
| Dense stone surfaces | 10–20 m² per coat |
Very porous materials may require two or more coats.
HOW TO USE
Read and understand the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Always perform a small test patch before full application.
Surface Preparation:
- Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from contaminants
- New installations should cure for at least 48 hours (some concrete may require up to 7 days)
- Do not apply in direct sunlight; surface temperature should be between 10°C and 28°C
DILUTION
Ready to use. No dilution necessary.
APPLICATION
- Prepare the product as supplied (ready to use).
