Defender WB is a premium water-based penetrating sealer formulated for concrete, masonry, cement, clay products, and sandstone. It uses high-performance impregnators to deliver deep, long-lasting protection against water and water-borne contaminants while preserving the surface’s natural appearance.

Defender WB solves the challenge of protecting porous construction materials from water damage, efflorescence, and spalling. Its vapour-permeable formulation reduces biological growth like mould and mildew, resists environmental stressors including salt ion ingress, and enhances surface durability. Ideal for outdoor and indoor use on masonry and engineered concrete, it provides up to 5 years of protection.

APPLICATION AREAS AND SURFACE SUITABILITY

Formulated to provide premium protection to medium to high porosity construction stone, clay, concrete and cement products, including:

Expected Wear: Provides premium protection for up to 5 years. Application methods, weather conditions, traffic, harsh cleaning methods and stone type will affect wear. Avoid use of solvents, strong acids and strong alkalis to extend sealer life. Cleaning with Actichem Proneutro is recommended. Re-application every 3 years is advised where harsh conditions exist.

HOW TO USE

Read and understand the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Always pre-test in an inconspicuous location for substrate sensitivity prior to full application.

Surface Preparation:

• New installations must be fully cured before application (minimum 48 hours; some concrete installations may require up to 7 days — confirm with the structural engineer)
• Existing stone, tile and grout must be totally clean, dry and chemical free

DILUTION

Ready to use. Do not dilute.

APPLICATION

Apply 1 to 3 coats of Defender WB by generously saturating the surface using a polish applicator, roller or sprayer.
Using a squeegee and/or absorbent towelling or applicator, wipe off any excess sealer remaining on the surface after 10 minutes of application. Do not allow the surface to dry during this time.
Allow 20 minutes between coats — apply subsequent coats while the previous coat is still wet.
Keep traffic off for 6 hours. Keep dry for 24 hours. Full cure achieved in 24–48 hours.
